Get Ready For The Rapture PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Many people have shunned the truth of God's Word concerning the imminent return of Jesus Christ. We know that He can come any time. We need to be ready. We never know when He will appear. One of the signs that you are in danger of being caught off guard when the Lord returns is that you scoff at the idea that his return is very close. The apostle Peter said,

Here is a checklist to know if You're ready:

1. Do you believe in the rapture of the Church?

If you don't believe in the rapture you don't believe God's Word. I have heard people say, "The word rapture is not in the Bible." Technically that is true, but the words "caught up" or "caught away" are in the Bible. The Latin word for "caught up" or "caught away" is raptu. Raptu is the word we get our word rapture from. So actually the rapture is in the Bible. Rapture means caught away, or caught up. Don't you want to be included in the greatest most blessed event in the history of mankind next to salvation?

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. I Thes. 4: 13-18

If you really believe you'll get ready and stay ready. A bride is excited about her wedding day, and gets ready. We're the bride of Christ. Get ready. Stay ready.

2. Do you scoff at His imminent return?

When I talk about the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, people with a religious history often tell me, "I've been in church all my life and preachers have been preaching that the Lord was coming back and He still hasn't come back. I don't think He's coming back any time soon."

knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men (II Pet. 3:3-8). People of Noah's age didn't think it would ever rain, or that the Lord would destroy the earth with a flood, but one day it hit and they were caught off guard.

3. Are you truly a New Creation In Christ?

Some people think that saying a sinners prayer automatically makes them a Christian. Just because we go into our garage doesn't make us cars. If you are really born again there will be a change. You'll have a heart change that will result in a lifestyle change. You will be a new creation with a new desire for the Word of God, Worship of God, and a heart to live for God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

A NEW CREATION WANTS TO GROW IN THE GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.

A NEW CREATION CAN'T STAY IN DEAD DRY RELIGION

A NEW CREATION WANTS MORE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

A NEW CREATION WANTS TO OBEY GOD'S WORD.

A NEW CREATION LOVES THE THINGS OF THE KINGDOM.

GET NEW !!!

GET READY NOW. MAKE SURE YOUR FRIENDS  AND FAMILY MEMBERS ARE READY. WHEN JESUS COMES IT'S TOO LATE.
